Supertech gets ACR OK for phantom

X-ray accessories firm Supertech has received approval from American College of Radiology (ACR) for its digital mammography phantom.

Supertech submitted sample phantoms for testing and evaluation by an independent medical physicist. The samples passed the required specifications, tolerances, and performance requirements, the company said.

The new phantom is designed for use with the 2016 ACR Digital Mammography Quality Control Manual.
