Body Vision Medical launches new lung software

Augmented reality developer Body Vision Medical has launched its LungVision software, which will be presented at the upcoming American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) conference in San Antonio.

The software creates an augmented reality environment with the ability to see fluoroscopically invisible lesions. Once the technology spots a lesion, physicians can confirm the lesion's relationship to the airway with radial-endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). The augmented fluoroscopy image, integrated with the radial EBUS images, helps clinicians obtain tissue samples with continuous real-time confirmation of location, according to the company.
