Siemens makes 1st U.S. install of Somatom X.cite CT

Siemens Healthineers has made its first U.S. installation of its Somatom X.cite CT scanner.

Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) has installed the system, which features Siemens' myExam Companion user support for technologists. MyExam guides technologists through exam workflow and suggests optimal acquisition and reconstruction techniques for each patient, the company said.

Somatom X.cite includes a 82-cm gantry bore and spectral imaging with the company's TwinBeam Dual Energy mode, as well as Siemens' Stellar Infinity detector, a patient observation camera, and a detachable, gantry-mounted tablet, according to the firm.
