Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer CereHealth will present study data on a population template for CereMetrix, the company's brain SPECT imaging software, at the virtual 2020 Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) conference.

The CereMetrix population template is a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared alternative to traditional normative datasets for quantitative analysis of clinical brain SPECT. The template uses a large collection of scans to replace a small dataset of normal subjects for identification and quantification of perfusion abnormalities, according to the company.

The presentation will report on findings from a May 1 study in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine that confirmed the population template closely aligned with smaller control datasets. It will also detail how researchers generated the template from more than 2,000 heterogeneous clinical scans, CereHealth said.

CereHealth senior medical imaging engineer Lindsay Quandt and study co-author Dr. Cyrus Raji, PhD, will collaboratively present the findings at SNMMI 2020. The presentation will be featured at the virtual Science Pavilion.
