Dr. Elizabeth Morris has been named chair of the department of radiology at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis).
Dr. Elizabeth Morris.Previously with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell Medical College for the past 10 years, Morris is a specialist in MRI and breast imaging, and she was chief of the breast imaging service at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
She has been active in both the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) and the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM). She was president of SBI from 2015 to 2017, and at the ISMRM she was the organization's first equity officer, a position she still holds.
Morris' appointment as chair marks her return to UC Davis, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry.
