RadMD, AG Mednet launch new service for clinical trials

Clinical trial imaging services provider RadMD and imaging exchange network AG Mednet have signed an agreement to provide a high-quality, cost-effective image reading and storage service for clinical studies.

RadMD will use its Blinded Reader and Investigator Training Institute (BRITI) and AG Mednet's Judi electronic end-point adjudication system to serve as an "imaging insurance policy" for companies that are not planning a blinded independent central review for their clinical trials.

The data for such "collect and hold" imaging trials is not always immediately examined but must nevertheless meet quality standards and be available for remote viewing at any time by the sponsors, according to RadMD and AG Mednet. Their united package allows for automated image quality control through structured site reads as well as real-time access to images stored on the cloud.
