Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas is expanding the analysis capabilities of its Exa Cardio PACS software by adding the LVivo Toolbox from ultrasound artificial intelligence (AI) software developer DiA Imaging Analysis.

The LVivo cardiac analysis software uses pattern recognition, deep-learning algorithms, and machine-learning algorithms to imitate the way human eyes detect borders and movement for analyzing cardiac ultrasound scans. Once integrated into Konica Minolta's Exa, the software will allow clinicians to view DICOM and non-DICOM cardiac images and data analysis automatically, the companies said.
