Independent research firm Health Management Associates (HMA) has acquired health research and consulting firm the Moran Company of Washington, DC.
Moran is known for evaluating payment systems in the public and private sectors and for being well-versed in modeling complex Medicare reimbursement systems.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
