RSNA attendance jumps 10% over 2001

CHICAGO - The RSNA meeting is back in the saddle. After two full days of the conference, attendance has bounced back to 2000 levels, erasing much of the memory of last year’s poorly attended show.

The RSNA’s official tally of meeting attendance through Sunday stands at 54,668, up 10% compared to 49,493 attendees at the same point in the conference last year. This year’s figure is down slightly compared to 2000 numbers, which stood at 55,270 at the same point in the meeting.

Even the weather seemed to cooperate, with snow falling throughout the day (RSNA lore holds that inclement weather tends to help attendance figures by discouraging potential attendees from extracurricular activities).
