Iraq's minister of health, Dr. Majeed Hamad Amin, is inviting international cooperation for the second Iraq Health Summit to be held in Erbil in March.
The Iraqi health industry has experienced steady growth, as described in a World Health Organization (WHO) report about efficiency in healthcare services delivery, Amin said in a statement. Iraq's Ministry of Health is organizing the meeting in partnership with French business facilitation group Naseba.
"Ministry of Health would like to invite the private sector to contribute to the process of developing and improving the health sector," Amin said. "The private sector plays an integral role in the process, and it would be mutually beneficial for both parties as Iraq has great investment opportunities."
