The Arab School of Radiology (ASOR) made its official launch at last week's 7th Arab Radiology Congress (ARC7) meeting in Doha, Qatar.
The launch was announced at the meeting's opening ceremony by Dr. Maurice Haddad, secretary general of the Pan Arab Association of Radiological Societies (PAARS).
ASOR hosted a dedicated booth in the ARC's exhibition hall, where it promoted its first educational conference, the Breast Days 2014, to be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from September 14-16, 2014. The group also announced that registration is open on its website.
The ASOR was founded to improve the advancement and continuing education of radiologists and radiographers in the Middle East and North Africa. The group hopes to become a superregional body that provides scientific and educational content to the region's radiology professionals.
