The Coalition for Imaging and Bioengineering Research (CIBR) is planning to hold its fifth annual Medical Technology Showcase in Washington, DC, on April 29.
The event will honor the work of the imaging scientists throughout the U.S., especially those supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) within the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
In meeting highlights, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) and Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA) will be recognized for their sponsorship of the legislation that created the NIBIB in 2000, in addition to their ongoing support for imaging research and their commitment to public health.
The Medical Technology Showcase will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Kennedy Caucus Room, 325 Russell Senate Office Building.
