Bayer has signed a letter of intent to build a new distribution center in Saxonburg, PA, to handle the company's radiology products.
The company said it would sign a 10-year lease to build a 220,000-sq-ft distribution center to enable its Radiology business to supply products worldwide, including contrast injectors and sterile disposables kits that are used with the power injection of contrast-enhanced imaging procedures.
Bayer said the facility's construction is in response to "growing product demand and steady growth of the business over the past few years." The facility will be operated by FedEx Supply Chain.
