Dear AuntMinnie Member,
What was our most popular article this week? Coverage of the release of the 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) final rule, which includes colorectal cancer screening. Click here for the details.
Our second most-read story gathered imaging societies' responses to the MPFS and the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (HOPPS) -- which were mixed, to say the least.
AuntMinnie members showed strong interest in our third story of the week, a tribute to CT pioneer Willi Kalender, MD, who died October 21.
Fourth on the list was an article on study findings about the use of SPECT/CT to predict treatment response in Pluvicto patients. And our fifth most popular story covered an American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) survey that found increases in nuclear medicine technologist salaries.
We also featured two x-ray studies, one that described how chest x-ray AI '"shines'" in real-world settings and another on how dark-field x-ray can track bone changes related to osteoporosis. And speaking of x-ray, this week we posted Episode 9 of our podcast series Keeping Up With the Radiologists, during which Saurabh [Harry] Jha, MD, and colleague Mitchell Schnall, MD, PhD, discussed what's next for chest radiography.
Finally, in late October, Spain was hit by torrential rains that led to extreme flooding in its Valencia region. Check out our coverage of how radiologists in the area responded.
