Imaging center financer and marketer flexScan has formally debuted its flexPlus CT screening program. Designed as a corporate benefits program, flexPlus is a self-contained Section 125 Cafeteria Plan that can coexist with existing corporate benefits or become the foundation of a corporate benefits strategy, according to the Mission Viejo, CA-based firm.
As a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, employees would be able to pay for CT screening on a pre-tax basis, driving down costs by 30% to 40%, flexScan said. In addition to CT screening services, flexScan also plans to emphasize the benefits of virtual colonoscopy. The company expects to have more than 250,000 participants enrolled by the end of 2003.
