Siemens Healthcare is adding radiation dose analysis to its CARE (combined applications to reduce exposure) portfolio, the company said.
Care Analytics supports the analysis and evaluation of dose received by patients during an examination with the company's CT systems, x-ray and fluoroscopy devices, and angiography systems. It extracts dose-relevant data from DICOM reports and displays the data in Microsoft Excel format, allowing medical staff to compare dosages given during different examinations. It also enables dose reporting between multiple hospitals, according to Siemens.
