Dear AuntMinnie Member,
The list of candidates is now available for the semifinal round of the Minnies, AuntMinnie.com's annual event to recognize excellence in radiology.
We've used your nominations to put together this year's list of candidates, which covers 166 entries in 14 categories. Categories range from Most Influential Radiology Researcher to Best New Radiology Device, and the list includes a new category this year, Most Effective Philanthropy Program or Campaign.
What happens next? Our expert panel of radiology luminaries will vote on the candidates to come up with two finalists in each category. Winners will be chosen in time for awards to be presented at the 2011 RSNA meeting in Chicago.
Thanks to everyone who nominated a colleague, institution, or company -- you can view the list of candidates by clicking here, or by going to minnies.auntminnie.com.
Dueling VC prep regimens
Meanwhile, in our Virtual Colonoscopy Digital Community, we're highlighting a new article on two different methods for preparing patients for virtual colonoscopy studies.
California researchers compared two methods for bowel cleansing: one using polyethylene glycol (PEG), the standard method for conventional colonoscopy, and the other using magnesium citrate, a commonly used prep for the virtual exam.
Find out which prep won by clicking here, or visit the Virtual Colonoscopy Digital Community at vc.auntminnie.com.
