GE Healthcare and Utah-based Intermountain Healthcare are working together to reduce CT radiation dose at Intermountain's facilities by up to 50%.
Intermountain and GE will collaborate to further reduce radiation dose through GE's Blueprint for low dose initiative. The Blueprint program at Intermountain will include a special focus on reducing radiation during pediatric imaging procedures, according to GE.
The joint initiative was announced on Tuesday at Intermountain's Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
