Medical imaging firm Analogic reported that it has continued to post strong results for its fourth fiscal quarter (end-July 31), as well as for its full fiscal 2012.
Analogic reported net revenue of $151 million for the final quarter, up 12% from $135.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. Net income for the quarter more than doubled, at $12.1 million compared to $5.6 million in 2011.
Total net revenue for the 2012 fiscal year was $516.6 million, up 9% compared to revenue of $473.6 million in fiscal 2011. Net income for fiscal 2012 totaled $43.1 million, compared with $17.8 million for fiscal 2011.
Revenue from the company's medical imaging segment was $81.1 million for the current quarter, which was comparable to the fourth quarter of 2011 at $81.4 million. However, for the fiscal year, revenue increased by 3% to $301.8 million.
Revenue from Analogic's ultrasound segment increased by 20% for the quarter, generating $41.6 million, compared with $34.7 million a year ago. The increase for the fiscal year was 17%, for a total of $151.2 million in 2012.
