The Image Wisely initiative has released a new Image Wisely radiation safety case for C-arm-based conebeam CT in interventional radiology.
The eighth case in the series of free, online educational offerings is designed to help radiologists, radiologic technologists, and medical physicists assess their understanding of important radiation safety concepts, according to the American College of Radiology (ACR). Specifically, the case explains the basic concepts of C-arm-based CT and the differences in determining radiation dose between conebeam CT and multidetector-row CT.
Participants can receive continuing education credit for the case, ACR said.
