Carestream Health plans to begin shipping its OnSight 3D Extremity CT scanner next month.
OnSight uses conebeam CT technology to capture weight-bearing and other types of extremity exams, making it a useful tool for orthopedic and sports medicine applications, Carestream said.
The company received clearance for the device from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in September. OnSight is not yet available for sale in Canada, according to the firm.
