Samsung NeuroLogica has launched its Doro QR3 XTom intraoperative skull clamp, which supports patient positioning for its OmniTom mobile CT scanner during surgery, at RSNA 2019.
The device aids the 16-slice scanner's high image quality and 40-cm bore circumference to deliver a large field-of-view. The clamp, with radiolucent extension arms, attaches to an imaging or surgical table through a park-bench mount and the table's side rail. Doro's ultrawide quick rail accommodates brain tissue retractor systems and has two interfaces for image-guided brain navigation systems. The device dismantles easily to simplify disinfection, the firm said.
