Software developer RadLogics has announced new installations around the world of its artificial intelligence (AI) software for analyzing chest CT images from patients suspected of having the COVID-19 respiratory disease.

The company's software has been installed at hospitals in China, Italy, Serbia, Brazil, and Russia. The application analyzes thoracic CT images and provides a "corona score" that gives clinicians an automated measurement of the extent of disease in patients with COVID-19, allowing caregivers to better direct patient treatment.

The software can be installed both on-premise at a hospital facility or in the cloud via Amazon Web Services.
