The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Optellum's clinical decision-support software for lung cancer diagnosis.
Virtual Nodule Clinic helps radiologists to identify and track patients with small lung lesions that could be early-stage cancer, Optellum said. It features a lung cancer prediction scoring tool based on AI and radiomics that draws features from CT scans to assess lung lesions.
