Digital x-ray company Nanox’s artificial intelligence (AI) subsidiary Nanox.AI has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for HealthOST, an AI-based software application for qualitative and quantitative analysis of CT spine imaging.
HealthOST provides fully automated spinal analysis of vertebral compression fractures and low bone density often associated with osteoporosis to support clinicians in the evaluation and assessment of musculoskeletal disease, according to the vendor.
The FDA clearance is Nanox.AI's 10th across its portfolio of AI clinical-decision assistance tools and its second clearance for vertebral compression fracture detection software, Nanox said.
