South Korean AI firm Medical IP has secured clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its CT-based automatic body composition analysis AI software, DeepCatch.
DeepCatch segments and analyzes anatomical structures visualized on CT scans (skin, bone, muscle, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, internal organs, and the central nervous system) and produces a report with 3D visual and quantitative information, according to the firm.
