Bone densitometry vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, has signed a sole-supplier agreement with Novation to provide osteoporosis testing technology, according to the companies.
Irving, TX-based Novation, which provides medical equipment and supplies to VHA and the University HealthSystem Consortium, said the three-year agreement was awarded following a competitive bid process that included input from the public and from Novation's client organizations.
Scott Balsters, Novation's imaging product manager, said the deal offers substantial savings to the GPO's customers, along with access to Hologic's bone assessment technology.
