Digital radiography developer Wuestec and storage provider Accellion of San Jose, CA, have formed a strategic relationship. As a result of the deal, Wuestec said that its customers will not require an onsite archive for its DR systems.
After reading on a Wuestec viewer, DR images are sent to an offsite Accellion storage server for future retrieval, according to the vendors. Initially, Accellion will provide storage and file distribution to four Wuestec customers, with an additional 114 clinics to follow during the next 24 months, according to Mobile, AL-based Wuestec.
Wuestec expects each clinic to generate monthly image volume of 250 gigabytes, with a storage period of five years.
