Hologic introduces new bone densitometer

Hologic is introducing its Discovery series of bone densitometers, which the company says combines 10-second bone density measurements with 10-second assessment of vertebral fracture status at this week’s RSNA meeting in Chicago.

According to Bedford, MA-based Hologic, the Discovery’s features reduce the time to acquire a bone density exam by 66%, making it the fastest densitometer commercially available. It can also be integrated with a DICOM modality worklist for greater workflow improvement.
