Medrad builds new facility

Contrast injector technology firm Medrad said that it plans to build a new manufacturing facility in Clinton Township, PA, to meet growing demand for its sterile disposable products.

The Indianola, PA-based firm said that it expects to hire 100 employees to staff the new facility, with potential employment anticipated to grow to 500 in the next five years.

The company's disposable products consist primarily of high-pressure, large-volume syringes and injection systems, including specialty tubing, used to inject contrast agents as part of CT, MR, and angiography imaging studies.
