Mikron lands Shimadzu sales in Michigan

Radiology equipment distributor Mikron Digital Imaging of Livonia, MI, has signed an agreement with the University of Michigan Health Systems (UMHS) making the dealer the exclusive supplier of portable digital radiography systems to UMHS until 2009.

Just prior to signing the deal, Mikron received an order from UMHS for two MobileDaRt portable x-ray units from Shimadzu Medical Systems of Torrance, CA. The contract includes provisions for the purchase of two additional units, which will bring the total number of MobileDaRt units in service at UMHS to eight.
