Lower sales and higher operating expenses resulted in a net loss for digital x-ray developer AFP Imaging in its third fiscal quarter.
For the period (end-March 31), the Elmsford, NY, company's sales totaled $7.13 million in the quarter, compared with $7.17 million in the same quarter of the last fiscal year. The company's third-quarter net loss was $379,000, compared with a profit of $491,000 in the year-ago quarter.
Revenues for the nine-month period climbed 10% to $20.5 million, compared with $18.7 million in the same period of fiscal-year 2006. AFP also reported a net loss year-to-date of $341,000, compared with net income of $691,000 in the corresponding period a year ago.
The financials do not include results from AFP's acquisition of Quantitative Radiology of Verona, Italy, which was completed on April 19.
