Canadian digital imaging developer DALSA has received a contract to develop and deliver custom digital image sensors based on its complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology to a European digital radiography equipment manufacturer.
The contract spans development and production activities over the next four years, according to the Waterloo, Ontario-based firm. The customer has agreed to purchase a significant follow-on volume of sensors within a specific time frame following the successful completion of the development phase, DALSA said.
Image sensors will be supplied in multiple configurations. The company values the total contract at approximately $9 million Canadian ($9.44 million U.S.)
