Fujifilm Medical Systems USA of Stamford, CT, has introduced a new computed radiography (CR) package designed for mobile environments.
Fuji's CR Mobile package is designed to include a CR reader, PACS software, and archive to enable mobile coaches to perform filmless imaging. The offering is based around the company's compact Carbon CR reader, which takes up only 2.4 sq ft of floor space.
The package also includes a rugged-laptop version of Fuji's IIP (Image and Information Processor) technologist console, which can connect to commercially available wireless broadband routers for remote image transfer to PACS. An FCR Mobile implementation can also include the company's Synapse PACS software, according to Fuji.
