Computed radiography (CR) developer Alara announced it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its CRystalView T-Series desktop CR system at the 2007 RSNA meeting in Chicago. The system has received the CE Mark under the European Medical Devices Directive as well.
The CRystalView T-Series system offers a compact and rugged design that facilitates use in various clinical venues such as radiology offices and clinics, as well as specialty practices like podiatry and chiropractic offices, according to Fremont, CA-based Alara.
In addition to touting this new system at RSNA 2007, Alara is highlighting its CRystalView R200 system, a compact tabletop CR system that fits in tight spaces.
