Philips Healthcare and robotic technology developer Hansen Medical have signed joint development and cooperation agreements.
The firms will codevelop integrated products combining Philips' Allura Xper x-ray angiography system with Hansen's Sensei robotic catheter unit. The resulting technology will aim to simplify the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, according to Philips of Andover, MA, and Hansen of Mountain View, CA.
