Canadian digital radiography (DR) firm Imaging Dynamics (IDC) has landed an order for 300 DR units from a Chinese charitable foundation.
IDC will supply the systems to China Charity Federation (CCF) over the next 12 to 18 months. CCF is one of the most influential charitable organizations in China, according to IDC, and focuses on providing disaster relief, poverty relief, care of seniors and orphans, education, medical assistance, and help for the disabled.
CCF plans to work with the Chinese government to install the DR units at medical facilities across the country to provide better access to healthcare. The deal is the largest single OEM contract ever awarded to IDC, according to the Calgary, Alberta-based company.
In other IDC news, Robin Winsor is resigning as chief technology officer (CTO), effective January 31.
Winsor founded IDC and was instrumental in developing the company's portfolio and intellectual property in DR, according to IDC president Tom Boon. Winsor will continue on as a scientific and technical advisor.
