Quantum releases DiRex-SP DR system

Radiology equipment vendor Quantum Medical Imaging has released DiRex-SP, a digital radiography (DR) system developed in partnership with Agfa HealthCare of Greenville, SC.

An expansion of the Ronkonkoma, NY-based firm's DiRex digital unit, DiRex-SP combines a tabletop CR30-OracleCR system and a Quantum radiography system. It is targeted for use by independent practitioners, private offices, and specialty departments, Quantum said.

DiRex-SP is available in three basic system configurations: ceiling-mounted, floor-mounted, and universal. A TechVision option allows for the technologist to modify exposure parameters and preview images from tube-side, according to the vendor.
