Indian medical device developer Nucleotech Medical Systems International of Mumbai has launched the third generation of its digital radiography (DR) technology.
Nucleo-DR represents the latest version of Nucleotech's technology and uses a single large CCD-based detector. The system achieves image resolution of 4.6 lp/mm, compared to less than 3.5 lp/mm with the company's previous technology, which was based on a flat-panel detector.
The new detector also acquires images in less than five seconds, compared to 10-15 sec with previous generations. Nucleotech has also made improvements to incorporate better climate stability, shock resistance, fill factor, and spatial resolution.
