Digital radiography (DR) developer Edge Medical Devices has launched a new flat-panel DR detector based on plasma direct conversion technology.
QuixFP-100 uses the company's Plasma DR readout technology, which Edge believes provides a cost and performance advantage over flat-panel detectors using thin-film transistor active-matrix arrays. The company claims the technology enables the production of detectors with no defects such as dead lines, pixels, or clusters.
QuixFP-100 has received regulatory approval and is packaged for OEMs, value-added resellers, and system integrators as part of the Quix universal retrofit kit.
