Multimodality vendor Toshiba America Medical Systems has introduced the Infinix VF-i/BP vascular x-ray system with large and midsized flat-panel digital detectors.
The C-arm system is designed to increase flexibility and diagnostic capabilities in biplane vascular x-ray imaging, as well as to afford variation in angle combinations while providing necessary anatomical coverage, according to the Tustin, CA-based firm.
The high-resolution 12 x 12-inch flat-panel detector is intended to enable a variety of biplane applications; for example, during neurological exams clinicians can image at different angles to best reveal any pathology.
The large 12 x 16-inch panel on the five-axis frontal plane can be used as a single plane when imaging large anatomic regions such as chest and abdomen.
Based on the Infinix-i series platform, the Infinix VF-i/BP is a floor-mounted frontal/ceiling-mounted lateral biplane system.
