Carestream Health plans to showcase work-in-progress digital radiography (DR) retrofit kits for mobile x-ray systems at the upcoming 2009 RSNA conference in Chicago, the company said.
The kits allow users to quickly and easily upgrade several vendors' mobile x-ray generators with its wireless, cassette-size DRX-1 detector for immediate digital image capture. Carestream plans to demonstrate mobile x-ray systems from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K. and Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, equipped with the DRX-1 retrofit at its booth at RSNA.
The Rochester, NY-based company will also highlight a vendor-neutral archiving package that provides consolidated data storage and management for any kind of data, regardless of vendor. This package is part of Carestream's Information Management Solutions (IMS) line of products that allow users to incorporate disparate PACS and data systems, according to the firm.
