Digital x-ray firm Kub Technologies (Kubtec) of Milford, CT, plans to highlight a new portable imaging device at the upcoming RSNA annual meeting.
Digiview 250 features a portable high-resolution digital detector with a 96-micron pixel size. The detector is based on complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology and acquires images at lower radiation levels appropriate for applications including neonatal imaging, extremity imaging in orthopedic departments, mobile systems, and general radiology, according to Kubtec.
A cable tether connects the device to a laptop or PC via standard gigabit Ethernet or optional fiber-optic interface. With a 20 x 25-cm active area and weighing less than 3 kg, Digiview 250 can run off a standard AC power adapter or a battery pack, Kubtec said.
