Shimadzu inks Texas R/F contract

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA, a subsidiary of Shimadzu of Kyoto, Japan, has installed its first digital radiography/fluoroscopy (R/F) table in Texas.

Huntsville Memorial Hospital in Huntsville, TX, has begun using Shimadzu's FluoroSpeed 300, which consists of Shimadzu's fluoroscopy table with a factory-integrated 12-inch image intensifier and a flat-panel digital radiography detector. The unit also incorporates DAR8000i, Shimadzu's new digital imaging platform.

FluoroSpeed 300 supports R/F applications including pediatrics, orthopedics, and emergency medicine, according to Shimadzu.
