Imaging equipment dealer Eastern Diagnostic Imaging (EDI) of Taunton, MA, has begun selling eVision Mobile DR, a digital radiography (DR) upgrade package for AMX-4 and AMX-4+ portable x-ray units from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.
The package transforms a portable AMX-4 x-ray machine into a fully digital unit, and images can be viewed in seconds on the system's tablet PC. The upgrade can be performed in the field or at a dealer facility.
eVision Mobile DR is based on i5 image processing software developed by InfiMed of Liverpool, NY, and is being released initially through EDI due to the company's experience in refurbishing AMX-4 systems.
