MinXray debuts portable DR unit

Portable x-ray technology supplier MinXray has introduced its CMDR-2S portable digital radiography (DR) system.

CMDR-2S includes the Northbrook, IL-based firm's HF120/60HPPWV PowerPlus portable x-ray unit, a PaxScan 4336R imaging panel from Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, and a Dell Latitude laptop computer. It can provide wireless transmission of acquired images to a separate review station or PACS, MinXray said.

The system is suitable for onsite imaging at nursing homes, athletic events, military installations, disaster response situations, or in situations where it's difficult to bring a patient to an imaging facility, according to the company.
