Siemens Healthcare announced that it has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Luminos Agile radiography/fluoroscopy (R/F) system. The device is now available in the U.S.
Luminos Agile is the first patientside controlled system with 17 x 17-inch flat-panel detector technology, a height-adjustable table, and dual-use capability for fluoroscopy and radiography, according to Siemens.
The device's table height adjusts from 25 to 44 inches and features horizontal and vertical transfer positions that accommodate a wide range of patients, including children and those with mobility challenges, the vendor said.
