C-arm developer Ziehm Imaging is expanding its market presence in the U.S. with its acquisition of orthopedic imaging and C-arm developer OrthoScan.
Based in Scottsdale, AZ, OrthoScan is a privately held medical device company with imaging products for orthopedics and a mini C-arm designed for fluoroscopic imaging of the extremities in orthopedic surgery and digital diagnostic imaging.
In its announcement, Ziehm Imaging noted that the companies' product lines complement each other in different surgical segments, allowing for new business opportunities. Ziehm Imaging employs more than 340 people worldwide.
Financial details of the acquisition were not immediately disclosed.
