Philips promotes Imaging 2.0 concept at ECR

Philips Healthcare is showcasing several new products at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and promoting the achievements of customers implementing its Imaging 2.0 concept, which it launched in Europe at ECR a year ago.

New products include the launch of the most recent Vision 2012 update to its iU22 xMatrix ultrasound system, which allows clinicians to conduct a virtual biopsy for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis using a series of ultrasound pulses. A new software option for the Brilliance CT Big Bore, the faster iDose4, is also being launched, and the Veradius mobile C-arm with flat-panel detector is making its debut.

Philips is also promoting the fact that more than 60 scientific studies worldwide have been published by clinicians using its Imaging 2.0 concept. The company defines Imaging 2.0 as the integration of information from various modality sources to facilitate collaboration.
