Carestream Health has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its DRX-Revolution mobile digital radiography (DR) system.
DRX-Revolution features a 32-kW generator, a DRX wireless detector, and software that enables the radiographer to align the tube with a grid, according to the vendor. It also includes a collapsible column that allows unobstructed views for enhanced visibility and safety while moving the system, Carestream said.
In addition, DRX-Revolution offers a long tube-head reach to make it easier for radiographers to conduct x-ray exams in the presence of bedside medical equipment, according to the vendor. A main 19-inch monitor and an 8-inch tube-head monitor provide two work zones.
The system is also available for sale in Canada and Europe.
